Your Home Inspector
Edgar M. Roberts, Jr.
NC Licensed Home Inspector #2165
Please, call me Eddie. I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1991 where I obtained a BA in History. During college, I was a Cadet Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol.
After college, my love of mountain biking and the great outdoors brought me to the mountains of western North Carolina where I began pursuing a career in the home improvement management industry. When I met my wife Angela in 2000, we knew western North Carolina would be the perfect place to raise our children and start our home inspection business. I obtained my General Contractor license prior to becoming a NC Licensed Home Inspector in 2005, and received FEMA Disaster Relief Inspections training in 2009.
I am an AARST-NRPP Certified Residential Radon Measurement Provider and am currently in the process of obtaining certifications in green home inspections, log home inspections, and thermal imaging inspections.
When I’m not inspecting houses for buyers and sellers, you can most likely find me working on home renovation projects, cheering on the Gamecocks, or in the woods mountain biking, hiking trails, and deer hunting.
Your Inspection Scheduler
Angela Roberts
Office & Marketing Manager
When scheduling your inspection, I will talk with you about your particular needs then coordinate with real estate agents, pest inspectors, radon mitigation specialists, water testing laboratories, and anyone else you choose, to make sure those needs are met within your due diligence time frame. I realize your home inspection is just one item in a long list of things to do when buying or selling a home, so let me know how I can make your inspection experience as stress-free as possible.
Born and raised near Hickory, NC to a Vietnam war veteran who lost his life too soon, I received my BA in English from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC in 1993 and began an eight-year career in television journalism in 1994. While my work as a local television news producer took me to several cities across the southeast, my heart never left the mountains.
Whether you’re purchasing your first home, selling the large family homestead for something smaller, or buying a second home for rest and relaxation, call me to schedule your next inspection. Eddie and I will give your next home the undivided attention it deserves.
Eddie was extremely detailed, organized, and prompt for the appointment. I felt as though I was the only client he had, and I know he runs a very full schedule! He took the time needed for me to feel that every aspect of the property was evaluated to the utmost degree.
My digital report was ready in record time as well! I am in the contractor sales industry, and I would highly recommend their team
